Coordinated Entry

Coordinated Entry is a system that organizes how people access shelter, housing, and homelessness assistance programs. It provides a single point of contact for those in crisis and aims to connect individuals and families with the most appropriate support as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Building a System to End Homelessness

Coordinated Entry is a partnership between regional service providers, working together to equitably connect people across the spectrum of homelessness to housing, services, and supplies.

Instead of calling individual providers to ask about available services, people call the Housing Hotline at (360) 695-9677. Our staff coordinates with emergency shelters and homelessness assistance programs throughout Clark County.

When a person contacts Coordinated Entry and receives a housing assessment, they’ll learn what types of programs they’re eligible for and be connected to the resources that match their unique circumstances.

Benefits of Being a Coordinated Entry Partner

  • Streamlined Intake and Screening: Council for the Homeless handles all initial screenings and intakes using eligibility criteria defined by you.
  • Collaborative Community and Ongoing Support: You’ll join a network of service providers with access to ongoing training and active workgroups focused on shared solutions, best practices, and continuous improvement of our local homeless response system.
  • Secure and Efficient Referral Process: Referrals to your program are made through a secure, shared system that your agency can easily access.
