Council for the Homeless and Fort Vancouver Regional Library host a special screening of No Place to Grow Old. This powerful film explores the realities of aging without stable housing and the urgent need for compassionate solutions. Following the screening, we’ll host a panel discussion with community experts at Area Agency on Aging and Disability, Council for the Homeless, Meals on Wheels, and Vancouver Housing Authority.

Homeless Persons Memorial Day
December 21 | 5:30 PM | St. Paul Lutheran Church
Taking place on the coldest day of the year on the steps of St. Paul Lutheran Church to honor and remember those who have died while experiencing homelessness. This is a time to share memories, say their names, and come together in reflection and solidarity. This event is free and open to the public. There is no registration, all are welcome to this free community gathering.
Homelessness and Housing Advocacy Day

Homelessness and Housing Advocacy Day (HHAD) is an annual spring event that brings together residents from across Washington to meet with lawmakers in Olympia, discuss proposed legislation, and connect with fellow advocates working to strengthen the state’s housing and homelessness response systems. Each year, Council for the Homeless, alongside SWACH, SWEC, and OWIES, coordinates transportation and provides education on current legislative priorities for anyone interested in participating in this day of action. Registration for HHAD 2026 is now closed. Please check back in late fall for 2027 event information.
