Link your Fred Meyer Community Rewards card to Council for the Homeless. Each purchase you make contributes to our mission to prevent and end homelessness.
Food Donations
Follow these guidelines to ensure your donations make the greatest impact.
- Individually wrapped or packaged, single serving size
- Chewy and soft foods
- High protein
Examples include: Applesauce, fruit cups, granola or protein bars, cup o’ soup or noodles, boxed or cans of juice, dried fruit, chicken or tuna pouch, peanut butter
- We also DO need gallon-size ziplock bags
- Require refrigeration
- Require a can opener
- Are past their expiration date
- Need to be cooked beyond just adding hot water
We DON’T need paper plates/cups, plastic silverware
First Aid & Hygiene Supplies
Gather the following items into one-gallon Ziploc bags. Items should be new, unopened, and scent free.
Seasonal Supplies
Needs change as seasons change. During severe weather events, we provide supplies to shelters, and cooling and warming centers to support their guests.

- Sunscreen

- Anti-chaffing gel
- We cannot accept clothing except for packaged new socks or underwear and winter outerwear (new coats, new hoodies, new hats or gloves, and.) All sizes needed, especially extra-large.
- Toiletry items should be travel size and low odor or scent free.
- To donate furniture or household items for people who are ending their homelessness and ready to furnish a new home, please visit NW Furniture Bank.

Drop off donations at Council for the Homeless – 7723 NE Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98662, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
