Homeless Response System Dashboard

The Continuum of Care is a collaboration among regional social service providers to track how many unhoused people are being served in Clark County. This allows community members and service providers to measure the impacts of system changes more accurately, to better serve families in need of help.

How the system works

Local social service providers — including regional nonprofits, churches, and clinics — enter their data in the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), which Council for the Homeless administers.

In the Dashboard you’ll find the number of individuals and households entering and exiting from each listed program.

Select or hover your cursor over different elements for more information. The box labeled “Instructions” has a more complete explanation of the parts of the dashboard.

How we verify this information

In Clark County, our HMIS data quality is regularly reviewed by service providers. As part of a data quality initiative through HUD, we expanded these periodic data quality reviews to include this dashboard. This was done to show how timely and complete our data is by program, agency, and program type.

Timeliness of data is a measure of how long it takes for data to be entered after an initial client meeting. Data completeness checks whether the data elements required by HUD and our local system have been collected and entered into the system.

The dashboards are updated with information from the most recent month on the first business day after the fifth
of every month.
